Flexmail obtains ISO 27701 certificate for GDPR compliance

ISO? What's that?

ISO stands for the International Organisation for Standardisation. This independent Swiss organisation sets international standards for quality, safety, etc. As a business, you can have your processes audited by an independent certification institution.

If the audit results prove that your business complies with these standards, the ISO issues a certificate. As it has now with the ISO 27701 certificate!

ISO 27701: GDPR compliance

One of the ISO certificates is the ISO 27701. This is evidence that a business complies with the standards for managing and storing personal data and is closely related to GDPR legislation.

The certificate cannot be obtained as a ‘standalone’ certificate and is an extension to ISO 27001. As a holder of this certificate, the business can demonstrate that it meets all information security requirements. Flexmail is now a holder of both certificates.

What does this mean for you?

With this certificate, Flexmail guarantees that your and your customers' personal data are stored and handled in a secure and correct way. As from now, Flexmail is the first (and only) email tool that is ISO 27701-certified.

Both certificates have also been obtained by our sister company as well as hosting supplier Combell. In this way, we can guarantee that your data is safe with us.

This also means that we comply with the GDPR regulations of the European Union!
